A work that delves into the question of collective memory and how history manifests not only as an experience of the past but also of the present. In a historical trajectory—whether linear or circular remains unclear—bodies gradually learn to navigate the fragility of coming together and the quest for new ground. Concepts such as uprooting, alienation, violent expatriation, and the rupture of “belonging” and identity, continuously recur and shift. A thread connects yesterday to today, where collective memory intertwines with personal lived history, the locus of the body, and its struggles. Perhaps one must endure many small, successive deaths, wander beyond boundaries and dividing lines—often existing within themselves—to seek a redemptive utopia, an “elsewhere,” a new place.
